Looks like Tarantino is keeping to his word of doing one film in every genre.... cant wait for the Sci Fi one.... but this looks like a winner too....

theres a bit in this clip at about 1:10 that reminds me of Robafet

Looking forward to this film. Has anyone seen the trailer recently on TV? They've cut it just to "Inglourious".

I love Tarantino and I love war films! No brainer!

I didn't realise he was wanting to do one in each genre!

But they're all the same. I like tarantino but it's not different genre's it's all exploitation films and I really like the original Italian film there was no need for this to be made? It puts a big question mark over wheather he's lost it or not. Death Proof was dull and now he's copied someone else's film????

The only thing I love about Tarantino is his dialogue,,,and soundtracks..... Kill Bill(s) had none of that, Death Proof at least had one great song.... but wasnt a good film... this one I really hope puts him back in my good books.... can but hope.

He copied someone elses film a long time ago and called it resevoir dogs. Resevoir Dogs borrowed a lot from city on fire.

Its true,,, he has been, ahem,,, 'inspired greatly' by other films,,, hes a real movie buff, all that time working in a video shop writing scripts!
Ive seen him in interveiws and he freely admits he knicks a lot of ideas... he even quotes what films he's payed homage (pinched) to.

I do firmly believe that his dialogues are first rate though.... so much of pulp fiction rests on the conversations for me.... and the dennis hopper / cristopher walken scence in true romance is still one of my favorite scenes of all time. I know he didnt direct it but he wrote it....

I know he's nicked stuff before but he usually does it as a homage to other films Kill Bill was just one long rip off but at last he'd gone somewhere else with it and I enjoyed them for it same with reservoir dogs and pulp fiction, even jackie brown was a whole film devoted to riping off pam griers life in film but she was in it so as a parody it was okay. Deathproof I was really looking forward to and at least planet terror was brilliant AND! Machette is being made into a full movie but Rob Rodriguez is almost untouchable with how funny and great his action films can be (Yes even the Faculty lol!

But Tarantino's dialogue has suffered because he has no impact any more, He pushed boundries in film with what you can and can't say and has been so aped he's not even got that gritty edge he once had and now has to rely on his wit; which again used to be excellent but now he seems to be overlooking that in favour of trying to be edgy with his dialogue. I hope this film proves me wrong but I'm just not looking forward to it and wont be going to see it any time soon.

i do miss the old style clever way he did things, res dogs et al. dont get me wrong i like rodrigez with dusk til dawn and the b feel of planet terror but i wish that them two would be seperated cuase they both might like films and various influence but a serious b movie with ott action and cheap laughs is too opposites ;s

I enjoy his films and everything he has done has been ripped off from something else (horrible way to put it tho) prefer, inspired by something whether it be books, art, culture or history.

Hes just very obvious and praise worthy of his influences while other directors try and hide their influences by splicing.

Have to say I think hes gone off rails a little, he used to make me laugh in interviews and seemed pretty cool, now he seems a bit annoying (imo).

Looking forward to this but am worried that its so far from the historical truth it may annoy me.
Have to switc off from that, though if he has right attitude and doesnt emphasize on the historical stpry too much I'll like. Like that Valkyrie I couldnt watch as it was a serious portayal of a story that they totally changed for the american audience, total tom cruise wank...
