Morning all, am off on hols next week which inspired me to make a metallica best of, i know there are VERY devoted fans so see if this is up to scratch...

If they ever release a Best Of how can you whittle it down to 1 cd's worth? It'd have to be a triple pack at least!

been away so apol's for late post - i agree triple cd if they ever make one or a triple album on vinyl 180g would be mega!!!

I'm a bit of a purist, anything cliff burton didn't appear on is shit! but there you go thats a 4 disk best of

yeah i think most of the best stuff is on ride and puppets. justice and the black album were ok and i try and pretend load and reload never happened. st anger was ok but death magnetic is the best since cliff died.

unfortunalty my metallica awakening only happened last year before reading 2008 - was told - nearly beaten to go see them instead of the cribs - i think my ears are still ringing - they were awsum!! i didnt need anymore convincing!

oh and i apologize for the cribs i have a personality that loves the libertines - hence that side wanted to go see them...

Yeah the other music they've made and their shows have garnered loads of fans since they fell from the pinnacle of music ability, but then those fans want something different from Metallica than I do so I don't think it's bad in fact it's a step in the right direction (kind of likfe the Death magnetic album) but I don't really like anything after Justice.
