Ok here it is. As an awld bastid I'm totally useless with new music. I have an ecclectic taste but no idea what/who most of these new bands are. So I'm after some advice from you rabble. Something different would be great.

Some of the music I like:

Foo Fighters
Metallica
Linkin Park
Iron Maiden
Kings of Leon
Snow Patrol
Paramore
Lost Prophets
Sting/The Police
etc etc etc

So any ideas you got would be great!!!

Love both Queens of the Stone Age and Pearl Jam. I defy anyone to say they haven't rocked to 'Jeremy'!

definitely Interpol and The Editors also Muse maybe

metal Napalm Death and maybe his dub stuff under the name Scorn

I could suggest Bad Brains - although their later stuff rather than earlier releases maybe more appealing - maybe even Fishbone

if you were interested in expanding your current musical taste - could give loads of things to fill your ipod

timeless classics though...wild and wonderful, free an' easy, little lost sometimes...not to mention thunders better man, back street symphony and the bloody other numerous classics....brilliant bands
