Deadliest Warrior
okay last night the hubby and I were watching Charlie Brooker show on channel 4 - I think it was called you have been watching anyway they had a clip of this series that is airing in America called Deadliest Warrior - it was the most stupid retarted infantile show you could possibly imagine - quickly went and found torrents for the entire series.
Basically they supposedly use all this "scientific" testing to see which is the deadliest warrior

Re: Deadliest Warrior
did watch the IRA vs. Taliban one Wed. night - utter nonsense ridiculous - will probably watch the rest but then I watch unbeatable Banzuke (Brian Blessed in a bright red cod piece says it all really)
made me wonder what does next season hold?
Hamas vs ETA
Bloods vs. The Crips
Gangsters Disciples North vs The Latin Kings (Chicago gangs)
then I started thinking why just limit it to warriors/terrorists/ gangs why not set the thing up in a Colliseum - proper Roman style games (ala Those about to Die by Daniel P. Mannix) and also throw in politicians - Bush and Blair vs. Bin Laden and Al-Zawahri (sp) - Brown vs the trade unions) it would be brilliant could show it on pay channels and I'd download the torrents)
and instead of more of the what the Romans gave us shows on Discovery (such as lead plumbing and roads) we could truly experience the Roman experience in proper HD

Re: Deadliest Warrior
This stuff is fantastic! I watch it on Bravo all the time. I like how they try and convert how a sword works into quantifiable numbers, put it through some cod-science and then dramatise the ending: all the time implying that this is how it would all play out. RI-goddamn-diculous. But good.
I put forward: a Stella pisshead vs. uppity doorman. Who wins?

shortly after I downloaded them for The Hubb - Bravo started running adverts for it - have to let us know if they run the Taliban one - by the way Bravo keeps promoting itself as the "guy" channel and has been since the 80's - well in the US it started out as the cable channel that showed opera and ballet - they also produce the Project Runway shows (fashion design competition show)- hahahaha

Re: Deadliest Warrior
I've seen it on Bravo since the 2nd episode and next week is Mafia v Yakuza and the last in the current series, so the IRA/Taliban must either have been the first episode (which would be one hell of a ballsy pilot episode) or it'soff a 2nd series not aired in the UK yet.

there's 9 in total and the last one is the IRA vs Taliban - didn't think they would show that one over here - there is a torrent for it so all is not lost

Re: Deadliest Warrior
Yeah, I've just downloaded it. Yay! To be honest, I'm quite glad Bravo aren't showing it, it is a tad distasteful..... which is all the more baffling as to why they aren't airing it!
