Re: Dollhouse
It's by the creator of Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Serenity, if that's any help.

Re: Dollhouse
Caught this one and really looking forward to the series.
Massive fan of Joss mainly because of Firefly - Buffy got too "hair / nails / handbags / emaotional feelings for me and Angel started getting a bit too weird although any episode with both Spike and Angel were a laugh.
I was absolutely gutted Firefly only had the one series (Damn you George Lucas!!) and was worried about this one because it looked like it was going down the same route because of less than empressive viewing figures across the pond, at least they learnt from their previous experience and have already signed up for a second series...YAY

Re: Dollhouse
I have been speaking to a freind who downloaded the whole series before it was put on sci-fi and according to him it just keeps getting better and better as the series goes on.
Glad fox have given it a second series but then they gave Tru Calling a second series and then canned it 6 episodes in so still a little worried it will get cut off in its prime and replaced by yet another crap teen drama dawsons creek/OC remake

Re: Dollhouse
Not gonna happen buddy, the syndicates learnt their lesson with the whole Firefly thing when they canned it, had a massive uproar to the extent Joss went ahead and did the film and then when they went to him again and said "please sir, can we have some more" due to the amount of money they'd made out of it Joss turned round and told them to bog right off as he'd already killed off central characters.
Got to admire his gumption!

Re: Dollhouse
Yeah, fair play to him to stick to his guns on that one. I am quite lucky in that I have seen serenity and enjoyed it a lot because I have never seen all of Firefly. Now after seeing serenity I am starting on firefly but only 2 episodes in so far.

Re: Dollhouse
I loved the series so much (managed to catch it the first time it came over here) that I not only went staright out and bought the box set I actually had a Firefly weekend where some mates came over (their own choice!!) and we watched the whole lot back-to-back even down to the several hours of extras on the second disc.
Top notch viewing!

I hope you enjoy it mate. Hands of Summer Glau though. She's mine.

To be honest I am not that taken with Summer Glau, much prefer Jewel Staite in this.

Re: Dollhouse
I did, to be honest, but then I watched the Sarah Connor Chronicles, and gave in.
Kaylee is a great character. One thing I liked about Firefly was that everyone had some good lines, and could make you laugh. It wasn't all centered around one character.
Jayne is fantastic though. Gotta love him.
