Re: Stargate Universe
I think that Stargate really needed a grittier edge as it had just turned ito sunday afternoon cheese. Taking notes from BSG can only be a good thing for the franchise.
Anyone here watch flash forward I've given up on it as it was too stupid, but loving True Blood at the min almost have 2nd season finished. Just got to wait the 6 months until season 3 of chuck!!!!!!

Re: Stargate Universe
Chucks is a geek spends all his time working in a BuyMore (electrical goods store) where he runs the tech support section (the Nerd Herd).
He gets an e-mail from a guy he knew at college, and it downloads lots of Government secrets into his head.
The original computer these were all on is destroyed, so now only he has all this information, and so he has to continue his normal life whilst also being a highly prized Government 'asset', and is protected by two agents, one posing as his girlfriend, and the other as a co-worker.
Adam Baldwin working retail, would be a shorter sell line!

Re: Stargate Universe
Chuck is about an underachieving IT worker that accidentaly gets all of the US government secrets downloaded into his brain after watching a program an old college friend sent him (who was now a secret agent). He then gets recruited to be an undercover spy as he has all of the background knowledge on terrorists in his mind.
Very funny and parodies that kind of game geek lifestyle a few times. There one ep where he gets out of being captured with the old lie that the whole place is surrounded; and when the terrorists don't believe him, he calls his best friend and gets him to describe his plan to him which is actually his mates team tactics for CoD:WaW

Chuck =
A nerdy bloke works in currys, ivy league droput, has the national intelligence database downloaded into his brain (no this is not johnny neumonic!!!). Since uber important asset, protected by fit CIA ass kicking blonde (whom he fancies) and a gruff NSA bod (a baldwin who can act, who'd have thunk it). The 'asset' is chased lots by baddy spies, working for some private spie group, who are pretty crap at shooting. The fellow currys employees are misfits. Sister is a moaney cow doctor, who is marrying mr awesome. Chucks dad and the blondes dad are both famous sci fi legends.

Re: Stargate Universe
Stargate universe, chuck, and dollhouse 2 - good watchins, owt else I should be looking out for? Watched first 2 defying gravity episodes, and gave up - the whole omega thing was annoying. Speaking of which started watching the Omega Factor - old 70's supernatural/sea of souls type thing. Very slow moving, very 70's - not the best series ever LOL

Re: Stargate Universe
a remake of V - I remember watching the original. Anyone else remember war of the worlds the series? Fond memories, but probably aweful now. Also have a great love/fear of the BBC day of the Triffids series, about time to rewatch methinks.

Re: Stargate Universe
There was a BBC TV series called Tripods I remember which used to scare the pants out of me as a child but looks poop now which was loosly based on War of the worlds, with the humans being given to the tripods when they came of age

Re: Stargate Universe
what am i watching atm?
stargate universe is just stunning, but am annoyed my sky+ seems to be shagged, so episode 4 wasnt recorded.
bones, great as always
house is that good im finally getting into it
fringe - bonkers and brilliant as always
law and order you just cannot go wrong with
fastforward - right up my alley. its going to be like lost. patience will reward the viewer
looking forward to last season of lost, 24, dollhouse 2 - even if it is being canned - new csi, new svu, new criminal minds, and new criminal intent. and buying season 2 of the unit on dvd.
oh, and am very much looking forward to V
