Top Animes
Hey guys
Not sure if there is anything else like this but was just wondering if anyone here is into anime so I have posted this asking for people top anime shows. Have to say currently I am loving black lagoon (Revy is the best character ever) and I am getting back into Cowboy Bebop in a big way. Anyone else got any faves to share?

Rurouni Kenshin wins hands down.

Re: Top Animes
Anime is one of those things that I'd like to like but struggle to get into it. I'm currently downloading (naughty naughty) Cowboy Bebop series 1 (no idea what it's about but seems to be highly rated) and Ghost inthe Shell SAC 1. Also downloaded Golgo 13 because I remember seeing it when I was about 14.
What's the best for a beginner? Preferably not of the cutesy, school-girl and tentacle rape variety.

Re: Top Animes
I used to watch Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell, Gundam Wing and a few others. But have lost track of it all now, do enjoy watching good Anime though! My lad likes watching Naruto and if i see any films worth doing i usually download them for him and me to watch.

Re: Top Animes
I really loved Serial Experiments Lain - also Blue Gender, Neon Genesis Evangeline - these are all older series though
I liked Pani Poni Dash for some reason as well - it was nuts perhaps
one of the problems with anime - is there is so much of it - hard to choose - use to be a great web site for anime torrents - a lot of the subs were fan created which was great so that at the end of the episode there was a big write up about what happened because sometimes a simple sub translation isn't enough because the original idea was so complex and layered - unfortunatel the site now gone - still looking for another one that was as good as that

Re: Top Animes
Jayce & the Wheeled Warriors was a bitchin cartoon and no mistaking. Hardly anyone I know seems to remember it though. How could you not remember a cast of Star Wars ripoffs in armoured cars fighting mutant plant-cars on giant space vines?! One o the best cartoon theme tunes too.
Bleach seems to be really popular and loads (relatively speaking) buy it from our section at work.

Re: Top Animes
Deathnote, The reissue of Hellsing is getting played on my comp a lot at the min, Naruto can be quite good but again the new series (condensed and re mastered) DBZ is getting a lot of time too.
As for Anime films:
Akira, Vampire Hunter D (1&2), Fist of The North Star, Ninja Scroll, Urotsukudoji, Wicked City, Paprika, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Laputa, Perfect Blue all get played a lot, and I recently had a Patlabor-a-thon as I hadn't watched the 3rd one so I did them all

Re: Top Animes
Oooo and I watched Origin - Spirits of the past which was quite good and Strait Jacket which again was pretty decent, about a month or so ago so they will be getting a replay very soon as will the last series of Guyver - Bio Boosted Armour. I even have the live action movies to watch Mark Hamill at his finest before I start them again
